Since the first SDD took place we discussed a lot about how to adapt Service Design Drinks to our own needs and expectations and basically dealt with the format for our meetings such as book or article reviews and commonly viewing of TED talks, SD Thinks or other videos…
To combine all ideas we decided to rather focus on a specific topic than on a specific format. In practice this means we have one topic for our meeting and everybody is invited to contribute and present videos, articles, case studies, methods, book reviews, theories… and so on.
The SDD in Cologne and Berlin have the same topics so that we afterwards can exchange the in- and output of both communities. Cologne and Berlin alternately define the topic for the next SDD at the end of each SDD.
SDD/CB present their next topic:
DESIGN HAPPINESS
gross national happiness vs. gross domestic product / personal lifetime goals vs. social moral / success vs. failure / wealth vs. prosperity
All kind of contributions (small/ big, digital/ analogue, practical/ theoretical…) are welcome - everybody is a creator of this night!
On April 16th at 8 pm the first Service Design Drinks in Berlin will take place at Cafe St. Oberholz (Rosenthaler Straße 72) with an informal and lively come together. The doors are open to everybody who is interested in Service Design and Design Thinking, in having inspiring conversations and in connecting with like-minded people while having some drinks.
